The Hi-Lions committee is headed up by Gus Gudmunson, a perennial chairman for this program and a great leader for this, our most popular project.

The Silent Santa program is chaired by Kristie Boone, one of our up and coming members. In addition, we are planning on running the program with one of the metro schools this winter to assure that the neediest are remembered at this most special time of the year.

The disabled Teen parites held each year at Halloween, Christmas, Valentines Day, and end of school has also become one of our perennial favorites. Ken Edwards is the chair of this committee and will do his usual great job.

Russal Brawley heads up the Sight Conservation committee for the club. This is the primary activity for Lions world wide. We supply thousands of used eyeglasses to the needy every year and will see the other activities continue to help locally and world wide under Russal.

The Boy's ranch near Perkins, Oklahoma has been home to many abused and abandoned boys over the years since its founding. It is a great feeling to know that these youngsters now have a chance to become valued members to the community. Indeed some become members of Lions Clubs around the state! One of the State's newest services is the Lions Mobile Health Screening unit. It hit the road in 1998 with the combined help of Oklahoma Lions Clubs, Blue Cross and Blue Shield and The Freioghtliner dealerships of Oklahoma City and Tulsa serving all areas of Oklahoma. The Oklahoma Lions Eye Bank has helped thousands of individuals here in Oklahoma and around the nation regain vision through cornea transplants. The club also helps support a local community vision source out of the Eye Bank to help obtain glasses for those unable to afford them.
